Ok…. I just saw the McDonald’s commercial that uses the statement, “Maybe you’re adopted!” for food products that don’t look alike. It isn’t exactly offensive, but bothers me in some ‘adoptive parent’ way.

So, check it out and let me know what you think. Good commercial or bad commercial?

Interview with Angelina Jolie on Toddler Adoption
I came across this article that I thought you might enjoy. It was an Angelina Jolie interview by Reader’s Digest. They asked questions like…
Why adopt a toddler?
Is it that much different than adopting a baby?
How is your son adjusting from orphanage life to your life?
I found her answers to be sincere and honest…much how I [...]

Another Birthday for Alex
Alex’s birthday was Friday, March 21st. He has been counting the days all month. With a family full of March birthdays it is difficult when yours is one of the last in the month. We planned for 8 of his friends to meet us at Chuck E Cheese to have a party later that afternoon. [...]

Remembering some of the ‘Firsts’—

Telling Sins isn’t Easy!
Alex, 8, was adopted from a Russian orphanage 3.5 years ago. I am not sure why the sacrament of Penance was so difficult for him this past week. The thought of telling a priest, a stranger, that you had been a bad boy at some point, was unbearable to him. He cried all the way [...]
