Progress at Boarding School

Just got off another family therapy call with our therapist and teenage daughter, Tania.  Tania is currently in a boarding school to learn coping skills and life skills to overcome years of abuse when she was a child in Russia.  She is doing amazing there.  She thrives with one on one teaching at the school.  They also have a wonderful Art Therapy program where she is doing projects to illustrate different stages of her life.  These art projects are truly amazing and show the real talent she has as an artist.

This month Tania asked to be promoted to the next phase of living there at the school.  She will get more outings with the other girls and also get more privileges in the house.  A lot of this is because she is exhibiting a lot more leadership qualities with the other girls and staff at the house and school.  We are very proud of her progress…but the most important thing is that she is very proud of herself!

Sometimes the best things in life are not the ‘easy’ things.
